Pool and high waterfall |
To
create a pond and waterfall we would always suggest using a flexible liner
as this gives you much more flexibility on the shapes you can create.
To work out the size of liner you need there is a formula that should
be applied: take your depth and multiply it by 2 and then add this number
onto your length and onto your width giving you the size of the liner
you will need. Or use our Calculator.
A natural looking stream can be easily created using
pond liner, natural rock, aggregates and a suitable pump. Firstly a suitable
sized hole should be dug i.e. 3 meters by 3 meters by 1 meter deep. This
should then be lined with underlay and then pond liner. The edges can
then be disguised with rocks, turf or paving. To construct the waterfall
you should mark out a rough shape and build a wall of rock using thin
pieces of walling stone. These rocks can be cemented in if required. When
placing the pipes a series of t-pieces can be used so the water can be
seen to come from several different areas.
