Pond with Lighting |
To
create a pond and we would always suggest using a flexible liner as this
gives you much more flexibility on the shapes you can create. To work
out the size of liner you need there is a formula that should be applied:
take your depth and multiply it by 2 and then add this number onto your
length and onto your width giving you the size of the liner you will need.
Or use our Calculator.
Firstly a suitable sized hole should be dug i.e. 3
meters by 3 meters by 1 meter deep. This should then be lined with underlay
and then pond liner. The edges can then be disguised with rocks, turf
or paving. Lighting can now be decided upon. Each pond is totally different
because there will be different features that you wish to illuminate i.e.
plants, fountains, waterfalls. OASE makes 3 types of lights for garden
ponds Lunaqua 2 sets, a small compact yet powerful system. The Lunaqua
10 system utilizes up to 75 watt lamps and is effective for medium to
large object illumination both above and below water. And of course 'floating
lights' for a fascinating effect as seen above.. These can all be used
together to transform your garden in to a water paradise after dark.
