3 inch BSPF Tin Can Strainer

The 3" BSPF steel strainer measures 15cm diameter x 11cm height and features a bank of 8mm diameter holes around its perimeter. The Tin Can Strainer is therefore ideal for use in protecting the inlet of a submersed pump or in dry mounting scenarios where the inlet (suction) pipe end would otherwise be exposed, allowing large debris, leaf matter or pond inhabitants to enter and potentially damage the pump impeller. The 2" threaded strainer is well suited to protect the Aquamax ECO Titanium 50000 threaded inlet, allowing particles of no more than 8mm in diameter to pass through the pump.

Due to the strainer's significant surface area, a 3" to 2" reducing nipple can be fitted to the Tin Can Strainer and be fitted in place of the smaller 2" strainer variant, dramatically improving the strained surface area available by over 250%.
