I-tronic electronic algae control

Velda introduces a revolutionary product which tackles pond algae problems with lasting results.

The core of the I-Tronic consists of an copper alloy anode and a stainless steel cathode. The operating unit, which is microprocessor controlled, generates electric pulses which release positively charged copper ions.

This process is also referred to as mineralization and it creates natural destruction of both fibrous and slimy green algae. The specific concentration of copper ions to remove fibrous algae and to stop their growth, ranges between 0.2 and 0.3 ppm.

This concentration is absolutely safe for humans, fish, animals and plants. An additional benefit of using the I-Tronic controller is that the pond water quality is improved and thereby creates a neutral fresh odour.

• Copper anodes generate pulses of positively charged copper ions which form a natural barrier against algae
• 4 different sizes of anodes determine the optimum, active concentration of copper ions (0.3 ppm) for different pond volumes
• The 'Set Power Function' allows current intensity to be adjusted and thereby the amount of copper ions released (1 - 50%) into the water depending on the volume of algae growth to be treated
• A 'Super Boost Function' allows intensive treatment for 24 hours for particularly heavy algae growth
• The 'Set Clock Function' allows switching the I-tronic off at night when algae growth is not active
• Digital Automatic Error Reporting indicates when components need cleaning or replacing or when there is insufficient water flow or a blockage
