Pond water quality is the most important aspect of maintaining a healthy pond eco-system and healthy fish. Unfortunately, most water quality problems are not visible to the naked eye so it is not always possible to tell by looking if the pond water quality is good enough.
A good quality test kit is an essential tool in analysing and identifying dangerous toxins, pathogens (agents that cause disease) and chemical imbalances.
Early identification of pond water problems can prevent small, manageable problems developing into major (and often costly) disasters.

Oase have provided a water analysis kit which enables simple, on-site analysis for Nitrite, Nitrate and Ammonium levels within the pond or lake.
Furthermore, a 0.5L sample of the actual pond or lake water can be sent to the Laboratory in Greven, Germany for further analysis of Phosphate, Total Hardness, Carbonate Hardness CH, pH Value & Conductivity. Test results are usually emailed directly to the sender within one working week of receiving the sample.
The included water quality guide booklet also provides useful information on maintaining and sustaining your pond or lake water quality.
Note: the carriage cost of sending the sample to the Lab in Germany is NOT included in the Test Set price. As a general guide, the shipping cost ranges from £8-£15 using Royal Mail service. |
