OASE Cascade T Nozzle

Cascade T nozzles are water level dependent. This means these require a constant and stable water level in order to operate effectively. Water level should not be allowed to rise above the top of the nozzle, neither can it be allowed to drop below the air intake component. The image below shows acceptable margins for water level fluctuation with approximate minimum/maximum operating levels. Low water level will result in a cleaner higher jet of water and high water level will produce a lower and wider spray. A water level within the suggested margin will effect the proper cascade effect.

The bases of all Cascade T nozzles feature female threaded inlets for screwing onto fountain pumps or associated pipework. These bases also allow for 360º adjustment, with the head able to be angled up to 5º off vertical. Bolts are used to lock the head in a fixed position once the angle has been set.

	Mylar Lace Fountain Concept

The Mylar Lace concept uses strands of transparent Mylar Lace to create the illusion that water is falling independently, when in reality, it is simply following the path of the lace. This concept keeps the water under greater control than if it were free falling.

To create a water feature using mylar lace, a water reservoir is required at the base, into which the laces, and falling water would be directed. A rigid pipe of the required length needs to be installed horizontally at the top, and this will need to be cut with 3/8” BSP female threads at interval of 35mm or greater, one thread per lace. The supply pipe needs to be connected to the pump in the water reservoir at both ends in order to flood the pipe evenly. If creating a standalone water feature, a structure would need to be constructed to incorporate the fountain components and pipework. If a structure is already in place, the pipework and components can be installed around this. Such structures could be beams, joists, landings, staircases, or anywhere the top pipe could be installed.

	Mylar Lace Components

	Mylar Lace.

150 metre reels of Mylar lace can be cut into individual strands of equal length to create rain curtain water features. Water is pumped to the top of the strands of lace and ejected through Mylar Lace Nozzles. Water follows the strands of lace by gravity, running gently from the top of the lace to the bottom in a clean and controlled manner. A Mylar Lace Weight at the bottom of the lace keeps the strands of lace stable. The recommended flow rate is a 1/2 litre per minute per strand of mylar lace.

	Mylar Lace Nozzle.

The Mylar Lace Nozzles are attached to a water supply pipe at the top of the mylar lace water feature. The mylar laces are each fastened to a water nozzle directed downward. Water is pumped through the nozzles and is directed down the mylar laces. The nozzles have a 3/8” BSP male thread. The pipe used to connect and supply water to the mylar lace nozzles must have 3/8” BSP female threads cut (one per nozzle) to screw the nozzles into the pipe. The recommended spacing between nozzles is 35mm or greater.

	Mylar Lace 200g Brass Weight.

Each strand of mylar lace requires one brass weight to be secured at the bottom of the lace. The weight is suspended on the end of the lace to keep it straight and under tension. The brass weight is supplied with a fastener to attach it to the mylar lace end. Brass Weight Dimensions: 20mm diameter x 100mm height.

If creating a standalone water feature, a structure would need to be constructed to incorporate the fountain components and pipework. If a structure is already in place, the pipework and components can be installed around this. Such structures could be beams, joists, landings, staircases, or anywhere the top pipe could be installed.
