OxyTex 500 CWS Pond Aerator Set

The OASE OxyTex 500 Set is designed for aerating ponds up to 5000 Litres and comes complete with the AquaOxy 500 Air Pump, submersible OxyTex 400 aerator unit, airstones and two 4mm internal diameter hoses measuring 5 metres in length each.  The land based air pump forces air down the flexible hoses to the innovative Oxytex aerator, usually submersed at the base of the pond.   A rising column of air bubbles is produced though the Oxytex into the pond and oxygen is diffused into the water body as the air bubbles rise.  

Not only is aeration important in ponds to maintain a healthy pond balance but the air bubbles will help to circulate the pond water and reduce stagnant zones.  The OxyTex also acts as a biological housing for friendly aerobic bacteria which will boost your filtration system's effectiveness by up to 10%.  The aerator set will act as a back-up means of circulation should your pond pump fail and will also maintain an ice-free zone during the winter months, allowing toxic gasses to exchange at the pond surface.
