Aquafit Ice Preventer
	The pump of the Ice Preventer is suspended on a 140mm Ø polystyrene float and should, if possible, be operated 20 cm above the bottom of the pond in approx. 60-80 cm depth. The enclosed hose is 80 cm long and can be shortened if necessary. The pump delivers water from the lower layers where it has been warmed to around 4° C by the higher temperature of the earth. The water is pumped through the hose, using minimal power and is released at the surface directly below the floating bowl. 300 litres per hour are delivered by the Aquafit with minimal mixing of the water layers. The warmth of the water is sufficient to keep a radius of 28-30 cm icefree. This is necessary because toxic gases caused by decomposition processes (fish excrements, leaves, etc.) need to evaporate. Trapped toxic gases create a lack of oxygen in the water and cause poisoning of living organisms. The product has been tested intensively and functioned well even at temperatures as low as -20 degrees Celsius. Pump dimensions = 132 x 71mm Ø.
