Extended contact time by 2-stream construction
 The new 2-Stream High Power UV-C Filters of Velda guarantee you crystal clear pond water and a healthy pond environment for both fish and water plants. The ultraviolet radiation of the high power T6 UV-C lamp will effectively kill floating algae and, at optimum flow rates, circa 99% of pathogens. Owing to the special and patented construction of the filter, the water will flow inside the unit twice along the high frequency and very effective T6 UV-C lamp. As a result of this the contact time per litre and the effective activity per wattage will be nearly doubled.
The specially designed aluminium housing reflects the UV-C radiation to achieve a more intensive kill rate, thereby achieving unrivalled efficacy, even at high flow rates.
The compact and low-energy T6 UV-C lamp has a very high UV-C light output. The output of this high frequency tube in watts per centimetre is circa 8 times higher than that of conventional PL UV-C lamps and twice higher than that of a T5 UV-C lamp. For koi and swimming ponds this action is of extremely great importance. The T6 UV bulb should be replaced after every 8000 hours usage.
In the screw cap a light deflector has been built for additional safety, thereby eye contact with harmful UV-C rays will be prevented.
The 40 watt 2-Stream UV-C High Power UV-C Filter can keep pond volumes between 20,000 and 60,000 litre free of floating algae.
The 80 watt 2-Stream UV-C High Power UV-C Filter can keep pond volumes between 40,000 and 100,000 litre free of floating algae.
