'BSPF' = British Standard Pipe Thread - FEMALE Threaded connection
'BSPM' = British Standard Pipe Thread - MALE Threaded connection
'Flooded Suction' = Pump can be dry installed out of water but the pump and the pump inlet MUST be positioned below the water level, so that the pump is constantly flooded with water. Flooded suction pumps CANNOT be mounted above the water level, as they are not able to pull a vacuum).
'In-built Flow Regulator' = Certain pumps feature a means of mechanical adjustment of the water flow. Pumps which do not feature a flow regulator can be fitted with a range of Flow Regulators or Water Distributors. Click here to view our range of Flow Regulators.
'Asynchronous Motor' = The Pump can be electronically regulated via simple connection to an appropriate device (click to view the Weatherproof Remote Controllers department). By electronically regulating the pump, the water flow can be reduced or increased. Furthermore, by decreasing the water flow on an asychronous pump, the electrical consumption will also be reduced. Non-Asychronous (synchronous) pumps can be mechanically regulated only.
