The Bitron 550 LM is a powerful 550 watt, Pond & Lake, Ultraviolet Clarifier. It will significantly reduce suspended algae and pathogens in bodies of water up to 250,000 litres (= 55,555 gallons). Due to the low flow speed through the UVC the suspended algae and germs are effectively eliminated. This in turn reduces the flow rate required from the Profimax pump, and therefore the motor size and subsequent power requirement and running costs. The Bitron 550 LM is designed for above ground (pondside) installation and its modular design is compatible with the Oase Proficlear range of filters, thus flocculated algae can be microbiologically removed from the pond or lake.
