It is important to choose the correct components for your particular installation,
so here's a brief guide to help you;
| Stage 2 |
Selecting the height of the blade from the water surface. In general terms, the higher the blade is from the pond surface, the more powerful the pump required. We recommend an ideal height of around 1 Metre from the pond surface, to minimise tapering of the cascading water and to prevent excessive splashing. |

| Stage 3 |
Choosing the correct submersible pump. The width of the water blade chosen, and the height of the water blade from the water reservoir, will determine the volume of water required and thereby the choice of pump. To keep things simple, we have carefully selected pumps to suit the chosen water blade width and the height of the blade. |

| Stage 4 |
Lighting. Each water blade can be fitted with a white, blue, green or red LED lighting kit, which is complete with a low voltage, weatherproof transformer. The lighting kits will produce a brilliant strip of light across the full length of the blade and follows the water over the fall, shining through the water to create a wonderful nightime illumination. Please also visit our Lighting pages for alternative submersible lighting ideas. |

| Stage 5 |
Connecting the pump to the Water Blade. We offer connection kits which contain flexible hose, flow controller(s), hoseclip(s) and hosetail connector(s). We have already selected the correct kit for the blade width, so simply add this to your shopping list. |

| Stage 6 |
If you have not already done so, Stage 6. is selecting a water reservoir. The pump is positioned in the pond or reservoir and the water is pumped up to the water blade. Water Blades over 600mm in length will normally be installed over a pond or pool, and we can supply box welded Butyl liners, made to measure for unifom shaped ponds.
300mm and 600mm Water Blades can discharge into a suitably sized stainless steel reservoir or a below ground reservoir, however you can install larger Water Blades over these reservoirs by extending the water catchment area with a flexible pond liner which will drain back into the reservoir. |
