MultiCyclone Pre-Filter - 1.5" 12 Cyclones

The Multi-Cyclone Pre-Filter is designed to be used in conjunction with a sand filter to reduce the backwashing frequency and to extend the usable life of your filtration media.  The Multi-Cyclone intakes water into the built in hydro-cyclones tangentially to generate a strong centrifugal effect, which forces any sediment particles to be spun out onto the hydro-cyclones interior walls, which then spiral down into the sediment collection chamber.  The clean water travels down the centre of the unit to pass through into the main filter.

The Hydro-Cyclone also features a clear sediment collection chamber and a pressure gauge on the top of the unit, which allows you to gauge when the unit needs cleaning.
