The latest generation of OASE AquaMax Eco Premium pump.
The most energy efficient models to date, utilising CORE 6 Technology ‘Next-Level Efficiency’ motors to maximise reliability and performance, minimise noise and lower running costs. These pumps are ideal for continuous operation applications, such as pond filtration and stream circulation. These pumps can be used in fresh water (ponds) swimming pool water and even in sea/salt water. The built in frost protection means the pump can remain installed in temperatures as low as -20°C.
The patented OASE Seasonal Flow Control (SFC) function can be engaged to make further savings on energy consumption, by automatically reducing the speed and power of the pump when the water is cooler, and the Environmental Function Control (EFC) regularly monitors the conditions and will act to stop the motor completely in the event of a blockage or risk of dry-running, ensuring the motor will never burn out in the event of a problem.
The second inlet allows for the suction to be split between the main pump and a second suction device (such as a pond skimmer or pond floor strainer) connected via a length of pond hose. This pump can also be used with an optional OASE Control device for electronic control and speed/power regulation. There is a watertight connection on the rear of the motor for connecting a control device.
The OASE AquaMax Eco Premium 17000 is a technically advanced filter pump with a range of innovative features and functions designed to save energy and maximise product performance.
The excellent build quality and design of the AquaMax Eco Premium pump makes this ideal for supply of water to pond filters, as the pump can pass solid particle waste up to 11mm in size through the outer case and low-wear, glass-fibre reinforced plastic (GRP) impeller. These pumps are also perfectly suited to circulating waterfalls, streams and watercourses. The pump is built for continuous operation and is designed to regulate its own temperature, with a hollow bore running right through the low-wear ceramic impeller shaft, which allows water to lubricate and cool the impeller aperture. The outer case has multi-level gridding which acts to assist suction, even when areas of the casing are covered with leaf litter. The top of the case can be removed easily with the 4 release clips, and the motor is fixed within the bottom part of the case with a clamp that can also be removed without the need for tools. The inner support brackets can be removed and used as a mount when dry-installing the pump.
The internal motor has been designed to optimise and balance flow better than ever before. The ‘CORE 6 Technology’ uses 6 Copper windings in the stator, and 4 extra strong magnets which deliver the smoothest possible operation, with minimal noise and vibration. The motor bearings and rotor shaft are durable Ceramic components and the screws that secure the pump housing are Stainless Steel. The pump is frost protected down to -20°C and can remain installed in even the coldest UK Winter time. The energy efficiency for the performance delivered is unrivalled by any other pump on the market, making the OASE AquaMax Eco Premium pump perfect for continuous operation.
The AquaMax Eco Premium pump comes with 10 metres of power cable pre-installed (no plug) and is supplied with the following connectors and accessories in the box.
Seasonal Flow Control (SFC) is an OASE patented, power saving technological feature that allows the temperature of the water to dictate the speed of the pump. There are 3 speed levels (Minimum, Medium and Maximum) which are activated at different water temperatures. This facility is designed to save energy by reducing the speed/power consumption of the pump when the water temperature is cooler and the pond volume does not need to be turned over as frequently.
The SFC facility can be turned on or off depending on its requirement, either via the switch on the side of the motor, or electronically if the AquaMax Eco Premium pump is being controlled using one of the OASE electronic control devices.
If the SFC is turned off, the pump will operate at a fixed speed (maximum output with no digital controller, or the set speed on the digital controller if one is being used) and will not change, regardless of the water temperature. If the SFC is switched on, the pump will operate at Maximum speed when the water temperature is around 17°C or higher, Medium speed when the water temperature is between 10°C and 17°C, and reduce to Minimum speed when the water temperature falls below 10°C.
Each speed level decrease results in a considerable lowering of the power consumption for the duration of the operating period, which means energy is used most efficiently and is not consumed unnecessarily. This feature sets the OASE AquaMax Eco Premium pump apart from any other pond filtration pump on the market when it comes to technical innovation and energy efficiency.
The secondary suction inlet is a feature that can be used should you wish to expand the suction area of the pump. The second suction inlet connects another suction device to the main pump via a length of flexible hose. The suction is then divided between the main pump and the second suction device. The amount of suction that is pulled through the secondary suction area can be regulated by adjusting the position of the secondary inlet via the sliding mechanism the hose connector is mounted to. If the second inlet is not used, this is simply set to the closed position and capped off with the blanking cap, which then directs all of the suction through the main pump only. Suction devices that can be used on the secondary inlet include AquaSkim 20 & 40 Surface Skimmers which pull suction from the pond surface to collect floating debris, and Large Satellite Pond Floor Strainers which provide another point of suction away from the main pump on the pond floor.
The OASE Environmental Function Control (EFC) is a protective technology incorporated into the motor of the AquaMax Eco Premium pump to prevent the motor being damaged should the pump become blocked up or begin to pump dry. The EFC performs a check for acceptable pumping conditions instantly upon starting the pump and then performs regular checks throughout the period of operation. If a fault in the system is detected during a check, the pump will cease to run, preventing the motor from overheating and burning out. Once the problem has been resolved, the pump will test again, and proceed to operate again. This innovative feature ensures the safety and longevity of the pump in the event of a crisis such as a complete rotor jam or a prolonged dry-running spell.
This generation of the OASE AquaMax Eco Premium Pump can be connected to the OASE Control devices to enable switching and speed regulation to be done remotely, either by control box, or on the OASE Control App. There are 3 control devices that are compatible with the AquaMax Eco Premium range of pumps:
OASE Eco Pump Control (Outdoor Switch). This device is a digital control box that can be plugged directly into the rear connector on the AquaMax Eco Premium pump to enable switching control and regulation remotely. The control box is weatherproof and can be installed outside. This device does not require a separate power supply, as it is powered by the pump when connected via its own 10 metre control cable. This device enables on/off switching, speed and power regulation and switching of the Seasonal Flow Control function. The display screen also provides information such as current speed and power use, total running hours, and alerts when the pump has a problem such as a blockage.
OASE InScenio FM Master EGC Cloud (OASE Control App). This device is a weatherproof 4 way socket device that can be used to provide power to the pump (and additional electronic devices) via 4 plug sockets, and also enable the pump to be controlled electronically on the OASE Control App (by connecting the pump to the FM Master unit via the EGC port, using an EGC Connecting Cable).
OASE Cloud Control (OASE Control App). This device can be used to connect the AquaMax Eco Premium pump to the OASE Control App. This device acts only as a Wi-Fi receiver (it does not provide power) and can be plugged directly into the rear control connection on the pump motor if the pump is dry installed, or connected via a longer EGC cable for underwater installations.
The OASE Control App enables smart control of any device that is compatible with the OASE Control system, either within a limited range of the Wi-Fi receiver (FM Master/Cloud Control), or with a limitless range if configured for Cloud access. The features of the OASE Control App (relevant to the AquaMax Eco Premium pump) include on/off switching, full speed and power regulation, switching of the Seasonal Flow Control function and timer settings, all from a compatible smart device (phone or tablet) The OASE Control App will also provide alerts by text/email if there is an operational issue with the appliance that requires attention.
If an OASE EGC system is already installed, an OASE Control Adapter can be connected to the AquaMax Eco Premium pump to provide a 2 way EGC connection in and out of the pump, allowing this to be incorporated anywhere within the existing OASE EGC circuit.
