AquaMax Eco Premium pumps from Oase combine energy efficiency with high performance and unique operating features, which set these pond pumps apart from any other filtration pump currently on the market. All models in this range feature a secondary suction inlet which can be utilised to pull water flow from an area away from the pump, as well as the suction coming through the pump directly, thus circulating a greater area of the pond than a single suction point otherwise would. Accessories are available to connect the secondary suction, such as AquaSkim pond skimmers and AquaMax Satellite filters which will run to the main pump via a section of flexible hose pipe. The ratio of flow coming through the main pump and secondary area can be regulated by adjusting the position of the secondary suction inlet to open and close this 2nd inlet port.
OASE AquaMax Eco Premium pumps offer flow rates ranging between 4,000 and 19,500 litres, across 7 different pump models to cover a range of pumping requirements. AquaMax Eco Premium 12 Volt Pumps 6000 and 12000 are built specifically for natural swimming ponds where low voltage is a requirement for safety.
Oase AquaMax pond filter pumps are built with an energy efficient motor, which is also suitable for electronic regulation (with the exception of 12 V models), which enables the pumping power to be reduced for even greater energy saving and lower running costs. A suitable power regulator such as the Oase FM Master unit is required to electronically regulate Oase Aquamax Eco Premium pumps. This Eco Plus efficiency puts AquaMax Eco Premium up there with the best economy of power to performance figures of all pond pumps currently on the market.
Oase aquamax filter pumps are primarily recommended for circulation and water processing through pond filters, but are also perfectly suitable for waterfall and stream operation, or general circulation. Another innovative feature of AquaMax Eco Premium is the seasonal flow control which is built into larger models 12000, 16000 and 20000. This function can be set at any time of the year, but will only come into effect during the colder months, automatically reducing the motor speed and power consumption of the pond pumps, reducing the rate of circulation during cold, wintry periods when high circulation rates are not necessary.
All models operate very quietly whether installed inside or outside of the pond. Oase Aquamax filter pumps have an inbuilt special run dry protection technology called environmental function control, which will shut the pump down if air is being drawn, to prevent any harm from coming to the pump if run dry without being flooded with water. Oase aquamax are built with robust strainer casings which allow for passing of organic waste particles up to 10mm/11mm in size. The case features side clips which enable the top half to be removed for easy access and maintenance.
Oase aquamax pond filter pumps are fully frost protected and can remained installed and operational in water temperatures as low as -20°C, meaning these pond pumps do not need to be switched off or removed from the pond in Winter. AquaMax filter pumps are manufactured by Oase in Germany to the highest standard of quality and engineering. Oase aquamax filter pumps are among the most reliable filtration pumps around, with the longest manufacturer’s guarantees, ensuring years of service from an Oase AquaMax.
As well as the standard mains voltage pond pumps, there are also low voltage models of the AquaMax Eco Premium, models 6000 12V and 12000 12V, which operate via a 12 volt outdoor transformer. Low voltage pond pumps are good for circulating swimming ponds as these only receive 12 volts at the pump in the pond, which is a safe voltage for human access. These low voltage pond pumps are not electronically controllable.
There are a few things which set the AquaMax Eco Premium apart from other Oase Aquamax filter pumps. The running costs are unrivalled when compared with other pumps of similar specification, and the option of electronical speed regulation further reduces running costs by reducing the energy consumption, whist keeping the pump in operation at a lesser water flow output.
The seasonal flow control facility is unique to AquaMax Eco Premium models 12000, 16000 and 20000 and this feature automatically reduces the energy consumption up to 50% less power output in Winter, so that the running costs are kept low at this less critical time of the year. The 2nd inlet is also a feature only found on these pumps. The innovative 2nd inlet allows suction from a second position through the connection of a satellite filter or surface skimmer to draw from pond surface or pond floor in conjunction with the main Oase AquaMax pump suction.
Connection of a satellite filter or surface skimmer has the benefit of increasing the pond pumps area of influence, whether this be covering 2 different areas of a larger pond floor, or taking some suction from the surface of the pond, collecting leaves and reducing the floating debris that would otherwise sink to the base of the pond. The 2nd inlet is adjustable by angle and the amount of suction draw it is able to take from the main suction pump. Connection of a satellite filter or surface skimmer is done using a short length of flexible pond hose between the 2nd inlet and the suction device.
The AquaMax Eco Premium pond pumps are also designed is such a way that these can be integrated into the Oase BioSys Skimmer+ as a dedicated surface skimming pump. The pond pumps inlet/outlet housing can be removed and refitted in an alternative position to change the angle of connection, allowing the Oase Aquamax pump to install neatly into the BioSys Skimmer+ chamber, beneath the skimming basket. The pond pumps outlet can be transitioned through the base of the skimmer box to return water flow back to the pond after surface skimming. The more powerful models of AquaMax Eco Premium are best equipped for connection of a satellite filter or surface skimmer in order to maximise the influence in this area.
These pond pumps have an asynchronous motor, which means an electronic power regulation accessory can be used to dim the energy efficient motor and fine tune the water flow. This is a good option to have if a specific flow rate is required, such as a stream, water cascade, or water-level critical filtration system which requires a very specific rate of water flow to enable particle settlement.
Electronic regulation is a far better method of flow control than manual regulation with a ball valve, as the pump motor is actually being made to slow down, rather than run at maximum output under restriction. It is also a more accurate means of setting the right rate of water flow. This is far better for the motor, as it is not made to work as hard and will prolong its service life. The other benefit of course is that by electronically regulation, the power consumption is being controlled, so the running costs are reduced if the pump is slowed down. Oase devices such as the InScenio FM Master 3 and FM Master EGC Cloud are very good for electronic regulation by remote control or app based control on a smart device.
All AquaMax Eco Premium filter pumps are supplied with 10 metres of power cable, hosepipe connections for various sizes of hose pipe, and stainless steel hose clips to secure the hose connections.
